Named after an outstanding Muslim brother from the Toronto region that passed away due to heart failure on Feb12th, 2008 at the tender age of 32. An avid ball hockey player, Sajjad was also a friend and devout Muslim in the community. His love for the game was not just about keeping fit and facing competition, but also to be in the presence of other Muslim brothers and friends and ignite the atmosphere with his smile and wit. This memorial trophy was designed to be awarded to someone in the community that has contributed positively to the sport of ball hockey in the Muslim community. May Allah (swt) light Sajjad's grave with Nur and allow this trophy be a means of a more positive outlook on our community. Ameen.
